Schumer Blasts Obama

In several posts about Obama's policy toward Israel I asked where Sen. Charles Schumer was? The most powerful elected Jewish official had been strangely silent while Obama was trashing the American relationship with Israel.

Happily enough, Sen. Schumer has just found his voice. Having tried and failed to influence the policy from behind the scenes, he has now stepped forward to declare the Obama policy "counterproductive." He added that it had to stop. Well said, well spoken. Here is a link to an article from Politico accompanied with a transcript of Schumer's remarks. Link here.

As it happens, Jewish Americans have been turning against Obama's Israel policy also. They do, however, maintain a positive view of Obama himself. In another context this would have been called: hating the sin and loving the sinner.
